You really can't see passed the surface of some people, and what you take for face value isn't what is seems sometimes. If you can barely tolerate James and you do go out on a date with him, try to pretend that you don't know him... that he is just another guy that has done you no wrong and be unbiased about it... that is the only way you're going to be able to give him a chance. People can surprise you, you know Lily. As a friend, I do wish for your happiness, but I also wish that you would look outside what is already on the surface. I want you to be able to give people chances, even though they don't exactly deserve them. You never know what they might have in store for you. Pity date, or not. That is how I was with Sirius, but somehow he surprised me by taking me to this beautiful spot just across the lake near the forest. You could see the sun set and the stars start to come out and the moon. We had a picnic there and for the first time I didn't really think of him as Sirius. I'm not exactly in love with him but I could appreciate the fact that he was trying, he was trying really hard. curious alice. .

It is like how in Pride & Prejudice… how Mrs. Bennet is so scared to have Mr. Bennet fight Mr. Wickham when everything goes down south. I feel like it will come out to be something like that and when they finally do fight it is going to change your opinion about one of them. It had been seven years of this and there is going to be a tipping point sometime this year, I feel it. Lily, if there is anything that I'm not right now is happy. It is strange really... I'm not happy but I'm not unhappy either. It is a rather uneasy feeling.
